Are you currently experiencing challenges in your life? Many times when something happens we quickly “deal” with it and move on. For me, I’m making a conscious choice to address each issue. I’m not allowing it to meander to an outcome. It’s thought out and purposeful.

In the workplace when something happens, we quickly react to it, handle it, and move on. Yet, it could be a recurring situation. Yes, it takes time to observe, evaluate, develop and communicate a new procedure. I know, I know, you’re busy. Do you think the situation is going to go away on its own?

overcome adversity by planning for success

Plan for Success to Breakthrough Adversity

Now, I’m deliberately being vague. Here’s why. I’m going to compare my current health situation to ANY business situation to make a point. Since I was exposed to the Fifth’s virus I’ve had a stream of health challenges, one after another for 14 years.

Yes, you read that right. I’ve been treated by a lot of health care practitioners in a variety of modalities, even traditional medicine, all over the United States. I liken it to peeling the layers of an onion.

For a season, I deal with “A”, until I’m comfortable with the progress, then I move on to the next challenge that seems to need immediate attention. I have no plan, because, I’ve never found anyone that has experience with what I’m dealing with. Many times, I’m seeking help for what is making me feel so awful at the time. My lack of success I attribute to not having a plan.

I’m working on my nutritional needs and digestion. Don’t worry, I’m not going to go into details. The point is, I need professional help with this. I’m not qualified or experienced enough to go it alone. I need more help than what I can get from doing a Google search. So, guess what? I’m working with a nutritionist, along with my nurse practitioner. I’ve been investing in my personal health, since back when Nautilus machines where a hot thing for working out. (Read a long time ago).

I have attended over 100 conferences and seminars over the last 20 years and I’ve paid for them ALL myself.
I haven’t relied on a company or someone else to invest in me. I’ve put value in self-improvement. I want to insert in here that this is something my husband and I have been doing for ourselves, our businesses and our individual well-being.

In business, whether it’s a large company or a solo entrepreneurship, we all need a proven plan of action. Training is crucial. I use the EntreLeadership method, developed by Dave Ramsey. For specific projects, campaigns, I follow Brendon Burchard’s teachings, For my personal nutritional needs, I like Andie Jones. I’d like to have a whole body plan, for now, I’ll be grateful for what I have.

So, you now can see how the two; health and business can relate. If we want success, if we know where we want to go, we need a proven plan of action. As a keynote speaker I share my own proven program— Breakthrough Adversity to Move Forward and Win with my audiences.  It is a 9-step plan that leads to personal and professional success.

My favorite quote from Alice in Wonderland,

“If you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t matter how you get there”.

It matters, both in business and personal well-being.
